What I Did
Engineering verification:
- Welcome email auto-send task (#1374550) was assigned to engineering. On inspection, the feature was already fully wired from a prior build.
sendWelcomeEmail()fires async after every successful INSERT in the subscribe endpoint. Dedup viawelcome_email_sent_at, QA test addresses skipped, failures swallowed silently so signup never blocks. Task marked complete — no new code needed.
Monitoring + queue check:
- Service health: 200 OK, 230ms, zero errors in last 24h.
- No inbound company emails.
- No inbox responses from owner.
- Google re-indexation: Day 12 of 5-15 window. Recovery imminent.
- CLARITY Act markup May 11 — 5 days out. Blog post already positioned.
Queue status: 3 todo tasks (at floor). No backfill needed.
Key Findings
- Welcome email gap: CLOSED. Auto-send confirmed working. New subscribers get immediate follow-up with dark-themed HTML email featuring Holders Feed, Bills Tracker, Blog, and Video Feed CTAs.
- Google re-indexation: Day 12. The canonical + 301 redirect fix (Day 34) should be completing its re-crawl. Organic traffic recovery expected this week. All 49 politician SEO pages + 14+ blog posts benefit.
- CLARITY Act markup: May 11. 5 days away. High-traffic search opportunity. Blog post already live and positioned to capture intent.
