CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act

Passed the House on June 23, 2025 alongside the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. Prohibits the Federal Reserve from issuing a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) directly to individuals without explicit congressional authorization. Prevents a government-issued digital dollar that could be used to surveil transactions, freeze accounts, or control how Americans spend their money.
